Tickets now on sale for Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games

April 16 - International tickets are now on sale for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China.
Tickets were made available by the Nanjing Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee at 8.14pm China Standard Time yesterday.
Tickets on sale include those for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, event family tickets, and general tickets for various events and are available through the official ticketing website for Nanjing 2014.
In order to further attract international spectators, the Nanjing Organising Committee is recommending specific travel agents which will provide international visitors to the Games with comprehensive services covering visas, Games tickets, flights, tourism and accommodation.
Ticket prices vary from 3,200 Chinese yuan (£306/$514/€372) for premium seats at the Opening Ceremony to just 40 Yen (£4/$6/€5) at certain sports across the week, with student tickets, albeit only for Chinese students, priced at just 20 Yen (£2/$3/€2).

From now until the start of the Games, on August 16, tickets for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and regular event tickets will be on sale, with family tickets available from now until June 15.
As well as online, tickets will be made available at 142 points of sale across China with 123 of these being opened in Nanjing, eight in other areas of the Jiangsu Province and 11 in other provinces.
To facilitate ticket purchases for Nanjing residents, organisers will also open box offices, selling only regular event tickets, at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre, Wutaishan Sports Centre and Longjiang Gymnasium.
Tickets purchased on the official website can be collected either in person or via post.
For Opening and Closing Ceremony tickets booked through the official website, tickets will be posted to the buyer from May 5.
Buyers who have chosen self-collection can pick-up their tickets at locations designated by Nanjing 2014 once they have received the collection notification from their ticketing agents and upon presentation of a valid ID document.
The same applies for events tickets booked through the official website, although those collecting tickets must bring a specified password in order to successfully receive their tickets.
For all tickets sent via post, buyers will be expected to pay the postage.
The 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing will see around 3,600 athletes participating in 28 sports from August 16 to 28.
