USA Synchro to Recognize Olympians at
U.S. Open Synchronized Swimming Championships
'Sequins, Glitter and Gold' fundraising event to aid national synchro teams
INDIANAPOLIS - USA Synchro will celebrate its Olympic past and look toward continued Olympic success when it hosts a special event to close next week's U.S. Open Synchronized Swimming Championships in Henderson, Nev.
"Sequins, Glitter and Gold," to be held July 19 at The Renaissance Hotel in Las Vegas, will celebrate U.S. synchro Olympians from the past eight Olympiads. Among the Olympians to be recognized are Becky Dyroen-Lancer (1996), Bridget Finn (2000), Kristina Lum (2000), Elicia Marshall (2000), Alison Bartosik (2004) and Lauren McFall (2004).
The special event is a fundraiser to support the U.S. national team. Tickets are $125 at the door. A live auction, silent auction and raffle will be held, with auction items to include an African safari trip for two and a four-night stay for two at a Novotel Hotels & Resort property in Asia Pacific.

Swimmers at the U.S. Open, which runs from July 15 to 19, will compete for titles in solo, duet, trio, team, combo and figures in junior and senior divisions at the Heritage Park Aquatic Complex.
Club teams from the United States will compete against teams and select swimmers from other countries including Aruba, Canada, Colombia, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Panama and Peru. The U.S. junior national team also will compete.
