US national teams grab gold at UANA Pan American Synchro Championships

The U.S. 13-15 National Team won the 13-15 team final with 148.2936 points, topping Mexico (140.4870) and Quebec Provincial (138.9407). Team USA scored 76.4000 points in the free routine and 71.8936 in figures.
National team members Jacklyn Luuand Rachel Lau also won gold in the 13-15 duet final, finishing with 149.6742 points to beat Mexico's Maria Jose Acevedo and Raquel Paston (140.1222) and Alberta Provincial's Adora Kruger and Natalie Neufeld (136.4482). Luu and Lau scored 76.4000 in their free routine and 73.2742 points in figures.
Team USA also won the 12 & Under team final with 135.0383 points (71.2000 free, 63.8383 figures), followed by Mexico (130.7289) and Ontario Provincial (128.1505).
National team members Kaitlyn Hoang and Chesnie Cheung took first in the 12 & Under duet final with 134.6600 points (71.4667 free, 63.1933 figures) to edge Mexico's Marla Arellano and Freya Lopez, who finished with 134.5067 points. Salome Garcia and Salome Espitia from Colombia were third at 128.0445.
The Santa Clara Aquamaids won gold in the junior team final, finishing with 153.4938 points. Santa Clara's Alex Meredith-Leroux and Danielle Emma finished second in the junior duet final at 76.5333.
Subin Cho and Rachel Warren of the Riverside Aquettes won silver in the senior duet final with 76.9000 points.

The 2014 U.S. 12 and Under National Team includes: Chesnie Cheung (Palo Alto, Calif./Santa Clara Aquamaids), Yara Elian (Walnut Creek, Calif./Walnut Creek Aquanuts),Nicole Goot (Palo Alto, Calif./Santa Clara Aquamaids), Kaitlyn Hoang (San Jose, Calif./Santa Clara Aquamaids), Bianca Hofstatter (Los Angeles, Calif./Riverside Aquettes),Nicole Meza (Sacramento, Calif./Sacramento Synchro), Veronika Orlovska (Yorba Linda, Calif./La Mirada Aquabelles), Ruby Remati (Boston, Mass./ANA Synchro), Aspen Smith(Phoenix, Ariz./Arizona Desert Dolphins) and Noelle Song (Sacramento, Calif./Sacramento Synchro).
The championships included more than 200 athletes in four age divisions who competed in solo, duet, team and figures at the Riverside Aquatics Complex. Twelve countries and a U.S. territory were represented: Arubu, Argentina, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and the United States.
