Matthew Klotz sets 2 Deaf World Records (pending International confirmation)

Matthew Klotz sets Deaf World Record number 6 at the Tristan Vessel Invitation in Baton Baton Rouge, LA, 9-11 June 2023. Klotz bettered his own world record in the 50 backstroke (LCM) with a time of 25.32 and then set a new deaf world record in the 50 butterfly (LCM) with a time of 24.54. Klotz' times are faster than the posted Deaf World Records but must be confirmed by the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD) before being made official. Once recognized, Klotz will hold Deaf World Records in the 50M, 100M, and 200M Backstroke, 50M Freestyle and 50M Butterfly.
