Coaches and Directors
Coach Steve Keller is a graduate of the University of Nebraska. As a member of the Cornhuskers, he assisted the team to four straight Big Eight Swimming and Diving Championships. Even before graduating with a Degree in Education, Keller first tasted coaching. He was hooked! Following graduation, Coach Keller’s career as a swimming coach began in earnest with a teaching and coaching job in Lawton, Oklahoma. Re-locating to Wisconsin in 1995, he coached for the Schroeder Swim Team for four years. During that time, they produced several National Champions and captured the YMCA National Championship. Over his years in swimming, Coach Keller has trained all levels, from beginning swimmers to Olympic Trial Qualifiers. His philosophy is, “Hard work, determination, and sacrifice is the way to get the best out of anything you do.” Coach Keller teaches elementary school at Parkview Elementary School in Cedarburg, has been the Cedarburg High School head coach, and directs Ozaukee Aquatics’ Cedarburg Pool. He lives in Cedarburg with his wife, Jennifer. His son and daughter, Ben and Jordyn, attend UW Eau Claire, where Ben competes in swimming for the Blugold and is pursuing a degree in Physical Education. Jordyn is acting on campus and pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.

As a swimmer, Meghan dove onto her neighborhood summer league swim team in Arvada, Colorado. She began swimming year-round at 12 and would go on to swim at George Washington University in Washington, DC. While at GW, Meghan set multiple school and conference records and competed at the NCAA swimming championships. She was recently inducted into the University’s Athletic Hall of Fame for her accomplishments. After graduating with a Russian Language and Literature degree, Meghan continued to train. She spent a year competing on the professional open-water marathon swimming circuit in North and South America. Since “retiring” from swimming, she has occasionally competed in open-water swims, US Masters Swimming, and a rare triathlon.
After completing her competitive swimming career, Meghan immediately moved into coaching and accepted positions at Schroeder YMCA and Nicolet High School. Within a few years, she was elevated to the head coaching position at Germantown Swim Club. With the arrival of her second child in 2001, Meghan took a long break from full-time coaching. In 2013, Olson returned to the pool deck full-time in Dayton, Ohio, with the Dayton Raiders. While at the Raiders, Meghan coached national-level 14 and older swimmers while establishing a swim lesson program, Swim American Dayton. Meghan has coached over 20 high school state champions, multiple USA Swimming Junior National champions, and Olympic Trials qualifiers. Meghan was a member of USA Swimming’s National Team coaching staff from 2016-2018, and 2018 was named head coach for USA Swimming’s Men’s 18 & under development camp.
Coach Tom Miazga is our Director of Age Group Swimming and Head Site Coach for our Homestead Program, complementing his role as the head Masters coach. Coach Tom was a swimmer at Ozaukee Aquatics since the beginning of his swim career in 2001, just as Ozaukee Aquatics began. He is incredibly humbled by the opportunities that Oz has brought him and is excited to give back in the same way. Tom was a United States Paralympic National Team member, winning 35 national champion titles, earning 13 international medals, and setting American Records in eight different events, along with a Pan-American Record in the 200 back. Through the dedication of his tremendous coaches at Oz, Coach Tom is proud to be a member of the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Team, where he competed in the 100m back (9th) and 400m free (8th). After swimming for Saint Louis University, Coach Tom finished his collegiate career at Marquette, earning his Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Psychology. With experience from the very youngest swimmers to masters, Coach Tom believes that commitment, determination, and a positive mindset will allow you to achieve whatever you strive for, both in and out of the water. Coach Tom is an L-1 Certified Crossfit Coach at Adapt & Conquer CrossFit, the 6-time Fittest Seated Man on Earth, and a Seminar Staff member of the Adaptive Training Academy.

Elizabeth started swimming at the age of 7. She not only enjoyed swimming but also loved basketball and soccer. Eventually, she came to realize she wanted to purse swimming. Coach Elizabeth swam for Ozaukee Aquatics and currently holds the team record in the1650. After graduating high school she went on to swim Division 1 at South Dakota State University.
After returning to Wisconsin she decided to coach Kohler/Lutheran/Falls Girls High School and Kiel High School boys. Eventually, she resigned as her family started to expand.
Coach Elizabeth lives in Kiel with her husband, Matt(strength coach in Kiel), and their two children.
Tyler began swimming at age six and fell in love with the sport as an age grouper in Normal, Illinois. Tyler won multiple club state titles in distance freestyle events before moving on to swim for the Wisconsin Badgers. As a Badger, Tyler improved from last place in the 200 freestyle as a freshman at Big Tens to qualifying for the A final as a senior and anchoring the school record-breaking 800 Freestyle Relay. Over 4 years, he posted multiple top ten times in school history and was awarded the Bucky Badger, Most Improved Athlete, Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, and served as team captain.
After completing his undergraduate degree, Tyler spent a year as the head age group coach for the Waunakee Wave before attending law school at Chicago-Kent. Tyler has been a practicing attorney for five years and represents veterans in their claims for disability benefits from the government. During this time, Tyler coached for the Schroeder YMCA and served as the head senior coach for SWMKE.
When Tyler is not coaching, he continues to swim and enjoys competing in masters and open water races. He enjoys reading, cooking, and exploring Milwaukee with his wife, Jenny, and his dogs, Boomer and Lola.





“My name is Sasha Gesner, and I’m a swimmer at UW-Milwaukee. I am currently a junior, and I am studying marketing. I’m originally from Arizona and moved to Wisconsin to pursue my swimming and academic career. I’ve always had a passion for working with kids and swimming. I always strive to be a great coach for the swimmers and a great role model!”
Jenny followed her older sister into competitive swimming at the age of 4. After a successful age group career in Arkansas, she moved to Wisconsin to compete for the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During her 4 years with the Badgers, she earned All-America honors and served as a team captain. She also spent every summer working at the Badger Swim Camp. Jenny ended her competitive career at the 2016 Olympic Trials.

Katie is originally from the Philadelphia area, where she accomplished NAG Top 16 times, Eastern Zones, and Junior Nationals top finishes as an age group swimmer. In high school, she attended and competed for The Peddie School. While there, Katie was named to the Scholastic All-American team and qualified for Senior Nationals. In her senior year, Coach Katie led her team to an Eastern Interscholastic Championship with individual wins in the 200 Free and 500 Free. She went on to swim for Princeton University!
Coach Katie lives in Whitefish Bay with her husband, Kyle and their five children. Her oldest two, Charlie and Jack, swim for Ozaukee. Coach Katie is excited to return to the pool deck as an age group coach at Whitefish Bay!
