Coach Jason: Senior Bronze Update October 21st - 27th

Tripp Montgomery

Good afternoon Senior Bronze families!

We are at the start of week 8 of our 2024-2025 Short Course Yard (SCY) season!   Below you'll see the items important for this week.

  1. Effort Level last week (10/14 - 10/18)
    • I was extremely impressed with everyone's work ethic last week.  We spent a lot of time working on distance per stroke while incorporating finishing speed and pushing ourselves to be controlled on the front end speed and making ourselves go faster as we progressed further into the set.  Keep up the motivation to be better than average!

  2. Eastern Committee Champs (2/1 - 2/2) is 14 weeks away!  Our TMEC team goal is to win Eastern Committee Champs and we represent 80% of the Senior program, so let's make it happen!  There are relays at this meet and points are worth double, so it's important we qualify as many people as possible to get those A and B relays put together!

  3. Blue Black White Meet:  Stay healthy. If you feel like you are getting sick, I'm going to recommend you weigh whether or not it could be related to what's going around (stomach bug).  Coaches have to turn in entries on Tuesday (10/22), so we want to make sure everyone is healthy and keeping everyone else stay healthy.

  4. TCC (B/C) Meet:  Deadline is this Friday, 10/25. There aren't many options left to knock out getting qualified for Eastern Committee Champs, so make sure to sign up!

  5. TMEC (A/B) Meet:  Deadline is 11/1.  We are hosting at Temecula Valley High School (31555 Rancho Vista Rd, Temecula 92592). If you are qualified to swim an event, I expect you to swim it.

Stay healthy, swim fast, fast is fun!
