Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays Senior Silver & Gold Swimmers and Parents,
Here are some updates and reminders as we head into the new year while enjoying this well deserved break.
1. While you are out of the pool, I encourage you to stay athletic. For example, go for a nice walk, short run, ride your bike or visit the ocean. Stay in touch with your core muscle groups by doing abdominal work. Take this opportunity to stretch too. By staying athletic, your return to the pool on January 2nd will be set up for success.
2. Take a look at your 2025 calendar and our Events Page. What do you have planned vs what we have planned for you?
For Example:
- How many days a week will / can I practice?
- What major events do I know of that will require me to miss practice? What will I do to make up for this time away from the pool?
- Remember, every day out of the water sets you back 4 days.
- How many days until 2025 JAGS, JO's, Sectionals, Futures, Junior Nationals? (Just to name a few)
Senior Silver and Gold Group Goal Meeting January 2nd:
- Please bring a notebook / journal January 2nd so we can, as a group, set our goals and our calendar together.
- We will create a theme for the season ahead that we all agree upon.
- This will take place before getting in the water at practice.
3. Congratulations on the progress you made this season. We had some ON swims, we had some OFF swims. That is the dynamic of our sport of swimming. Most importantly we had the opportunity to swim.
You never lose! Either You Win, Or You Learn.
