Senior Silver & Gold March 10th - 16th Updates and Reminders

Tripp Montgomery

Hello Senior Silver & Gold Swimmers and Parents,

Here are some updates and reminders as we enter into the middle of the month of March.

1.  With the high school season upon us, we all know schedules become very dynamic.

  • Communication from you has been very helpful.
  • Good luck with all your high school meets coming up.

2.  Looking ahead, our next focus meet is April 5th & 6th in Yucaipa.

  • Sign up now!
  • If you will NOT attend, please DECLINE the event so I know your intentions.
  • This is our first long course meet of the 2025 season.  With that comes adjusting on many levels, specifically in practice.
  • The more accepting your change in practice now, the better you will be when we are swimming in a long course pool.

3.  Training Equipment Updates / Reminders.

  • Water shoes:  Do you have an old pair of sneakers you don't use?  If so, add them to your equipment bag.
  • Tempo Trainer:  https://www.finisswim.com/Tempo-Trainer-Pro
  • Parachutes.  Ask me for one you can borrow if you don't already have one issued to you this past Saturday.

4.  Weekly Training Plans

  • Weekly training plans will vary week by week for now.
  • Expect "off yardage".
  • What does this mean?
    • 75's, 125's, 175's, 225's and so on.
    • Off yardage helps prepare for long course while swimming in a short course pool.

5.  What is up with the motivational photo attached to this email?

There are a lot of dynamic moving parts at this point in our swim season.  We all have different schedules.  At times it can be difficult to pull them altogether.  That being said, we can learn to work together, stay focused on the details and embrace the path ahead.
