Also, here are the Psych Sheets for prelims on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Here is a file for just the distance events that will have a finals swim.  

 

COACHES - Please refer to the distance psych sheet and let us know ASAP if you have a top 10 swimmer that wants to swim in prelims instead of finals.  The deadline is 7:30pm on the eve of the event.  Please email ASAP regarding the 1650 Free.  For the other events, we'll have a sheet at the pool.  It is such a privilege to swim in a final as a distance event swimmer, so I'm hopeful most kids will choose to swim the final. 

 

Reminders:

1. There will be an open practice session from 5:30-8:00pm Thursday night.  Certified coach needs to be present and overseeing the swimmers.  No parents allowed to bring in chairs, blankets, etc.
2. There will be bleacher seating provided as 15 new portable bleachers have been put into use for the facility.  This will limit the amount of camping on the deck.
3. Finals awards (during prelims and finals), will be conducted while the meet is in progress.  We will not be stopping the meet for awards in order to keep our timeframe on track as much as possible.
4. Regarding timeframe, we don't have exact times at the moment that we are comfortable to give out.  We are estimating around 4 hours for prelims on all three days, and 1.5 to 2 hours for finals.  WYSI and I will be evaluating the timeframe as each session progresses to be sure we are keeping things moving as best we can.
5. Regarding item #4 above, be aware that we may slightly alter the "walk-out" for finals in order to speed up the session.  More information to come if a decision is made to go this route.
6. Top finalists will be able to pick out a song for finals.
