Warm-Up & Arrival Times - 

  • Saturday Morning 11&Over Session - Warm-up at 7:30am, Arrive to the facility by 7:15am
  • Saturday Afternoon 10&Under Session - Warm-up at 1:00pm, Arrive to the facility by 12:45pm

TEAM WARM-UP IS NOT OPTIONAL! Our expectation is that each swimmer participating in the session arrives early to the facility and gets in the water on time for warm-up. Please prepare accordingly to make sure your swimmer is not late getting into the water. This is disruptive and makes things difficult for the other swimmers on our team and our coaching staff. Swimmers who have not arrived for warm-up within 15 minutes of our team's warm-up period starting will be automatically scratched from the session and will not be allowed to participate in the meet. 

Meet Fees & Date of Charge - Fees are $4 per individual event, $2 per relay event per swimmer, and a $20 per swimmer facility surcharge. There will be no YDSC Coach Travel Fee for this meet since it is a home meet. You can use the swimmer entries document at the top of this email to add up your swimmer's fees total that will be charged for this meet. Meet fees will be charged to swimmer's YMCA accounts on Friday, January 3rd.

Additional Reminders - 

  • Our facility uses the Raptor Guest Management Software which requires ALL individuals aged 18&Over including spectators, swimmers, and coaches to check in to our facility using their Decatur Family YMCA membership card or a valid photo I.D. - please make sure your family and any additional specators you are bringing are aware of this policy! No one will be allowed entry without a photo I.D.
  • Please read the meet packet thoroughly prior to the meet as it has additional information that may be useful to you. This email just hits the highlights for the meet and does not mention everything in the packet. 
  • Locker rooms are for swimmers only - there is absolutely no exception to this. There will be restrooms available for non-athletes. SafeSport rules require athletes & non-athletes use seperate facilities.
  • Swimmers and specatators will remain in the crash zone other than when racing or reporting to the bullpen. A reminder that we use a rotational spectator seating arrangement for viewing races so spectators should only report to the pool for viewing 1 or 2 heats before their swimmer races and then should immediately head back to the crash zone after their swimmer's race is finished so that the next group of spectators can rotate into the viewing area.
  • Awards will be given to the top 8 finishers in each event for 10&Unders and the top 3 finishers in each event for 11&Overs. High Point Awards will be given to the top 3 high point award winners in each age group - points will be distributed based on age group. 
  • There will be no admission cost for spectators. Heat sheets and results will be available for free on the MeetMobile app.
  • Concessions will be cash only, but the swim vendor will take both card and cash. Please try to bring smaller bills for concessions purchases!

Home meets take everyone's help and support to be successful! If you have a swimmer participating in the meet and have not volunteered for a job yet, please check in with our Meet Director Christa Carr ASAP at 715-450-5272!
