Mock meet and other things
Hi everyone
The mock meet is a little over a week away on October 24th. Please click “committed” for your swimmer in sports motion (team unify) and sign up for a volunteer job. We need all hands-on deck to make this happen. This is a great way to learn a new job with no pressure!
We have set-up volunteers, Marshall, Announcer, 2 runners, 12 timers and clean-up help. Set-up help will be setting up chairs and putting up signs.
Marshall will start before meet in the hallway in front of locker rooms. They will make sure non-swimmers do not go in the lockers and direct them around to the deck. Then once the meet starts they go on deck and make sure no one goes out the emergency door or walks in front of the official table.
Runners collect the papers from timers and bring them to the table and sometimes grab water for the volunteers on deck.
Timers are responsible to make sure the right swimmer is in the correct lane, they run the stopwatch and write the time down.
Clean-up volunteers help clean up after the meet.
We will have an equipment swap at the mock meet. Please bring in any swimming equipment (suits, googles, caps, fins, bags, etc) that you are no longer using and is in good condition.
Finaly, there is no practice on Oct 31st. We hope you all can enjoy the day off. If you are in the Sanford area on Oct 31st, Coach Emma will be at a local trunk or treat. She will be handing our special treats to Titan’s swimmers who find her.
