There will be a parent meeting on Wednesday, October 1st at 7 PM at the West End Y for all families interested in joining (and re-joining) the West End Y Wildcats swim team.
Aquatic Staff and leadership will discuss team requirements, expectations and schedule for the upcoming season, as well as be able to answer any questions.
Swimmers must be able to complete at least a length of freestyle and backstroke unaided without stopping, and to demonstrate comfort in the water in other competitive strokes. Previous participation in a competitive swim team is not required. Swimmers must be at least 6 years old by December 1st, 2025 to try out, and must commit to at least three dual meets throughout the season, plus be available for the championship phase of the season. Swimmers new to the team are requested to attend either the stroke or conditioning clinics in September, or the pre-season session the week of September 30th to October 4th, or to reach out to Head Coach Oliver Curwen at [email protected] with requests for a tryout.
The first day of the Wildcats season will begin on Monday, October 6th, 2025. Please see parent handbook for age group times.
