Coach Jess has been involved with the sport of swimming for 28
years from swimming herself, teaching swim lessons and coaching the
sport. She has a passion for the water and loves to see others
succeed in the sport. She began competitive swimming at the age of
10 with Baldwin Whitehall Swim Club in the South Hills. She
continued swimming through middle school and high school with Pine
Richland Aquatics, Allegheny Valley YMCA, and Mars Area High
School. Coach Jess was a founding member of the Mars Area
High School Swim Team in the late 90’s where she was a MAC
and WPIAL qualifier, 4-year letter winner and a 2-time team
captain. In college, she continued to swim through the BGSC United
States Masters Swimming program.
In addition to participating in the sport, Coach Jess began
teaching swim lessons when she was 14 years old as a volunteer. She
has taught many different programs of lessons including but not
limited to American Red Cross, Swim America, YMCA swim lessons and
a countless number of private lessons. Her coaching experience
includes Head Coach for Treesdale Golf and Country Club, Age Group
Coach for Bowling Green Swim Club, Head Coach with Bowling Green
Junior High School Swim Team and Assistant Coach with Bowling Green
High School Swim Team. She took time off from the pool after
meeting her husband as they started their family, but her love of
the water pulled her back. Coach Jess resides in Adams Township
with her husband, Ben, and 3 daughters, Nora, Anna, and
Greta. Coach Jess loves watching swimmers believe in
themselves and step outside of their comfort zone in the pool, work
hard and rise to the challenge to do something they never thought
they could.

A native of Cleveland, OH, Karen has been involved in Aquatics for over 20 years. She swam competitively in High School, worked as a lifeguard, swim instructor, and high school assistant coach, and is currently the Aquatics Director at the Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA. Karen is certified as a LGIT through Red Cross and Swim Lesson Instrcutor Trainer through YUSA. She looks forward to working with your children to create a fun and competitive program that is safe and challenging for swimmers of all levels.




Lance grew up in Vandergrift, PA. He started swimming at the age of nine. He started his swim career at the Vandergrift Area Swim Team. He was a founding member of the Cavalier Swim Club, an Allegheny Mountain Swimming/USA Swimmming affiliated club where he qualified for the AMS Zones All-Star Team. Lance attended Kiski Area High School where he was a 3 year letterman, 2 time team captain, 2 time team MVP, and a WPIAL qualifier. He also competed in the Keystone State games. After high school, Lance attended and swam at Westminster College and continued his swim career by particpiating in triathlons.
Lance's coaching experience includes the Vandergrift Area Swim Team and the Cavalier Swim Club. At Westminster College, he served two years as a swim camp counselor at the Westminster College Swim Camp. In addition to coaching swimming, he has also coached youth soccer and tee-ball, and also serves as den leader for a local Cub Scout Pack. Lance has been teaching competitive swimming lessons at the Rose E. Schneider YMCA for 3 years and has taught the Better Late then Never program for adults for a year. He resides in Cranberry with his wife, Sonya, and 4 children, Tyler, Logan, Conner, and Hayley.
Todd grew up in Monroeville PA, where he swam for the Monroeville Marlins and Gateway High School. Upon entering high school, he switched club teams to the East Suburban YMCA (currently Sampson Family YMCA in Plum PA). He was a 3 year WPIAL qualifer for the Gateway Gators, and a National Qualifier for the YMCA program in 2012.
He attended Westminster College where he continued to swim. In his college career, he was voted 2 time Captain of the mens program, and was a 3 time All-Conference 2nd Team swimmer. Todd graduated Westminster in 2012 with a degree in biology.
Since his college graduation, Todd started his coaching career in 2010 where he was the assistant coach for the Park Sharks swim club in Monroeville for 2 years. In 2012, he accepted the head coach position of the East Suburban YMCA club team, and the assistant coach of Plum High School. After moving around the country a bit, he settled down in western PA and started working at the Rose E Schneider YMCA.
Todd was the driving force in the creation of the RESY club team in 2016. From its inception, he created a culture of technique, hard work, and competition for all ages and abilities. Todd has grown and coached the program to multiple top 5 finishes at regional meets, and has produced 20 national qualifiers in his tenure as RESY Head Coach. He also was the head coach for Mars High School (North Catholic) from 2017-2024 and produced consistent WPIAL and PIAA qualifiers.
Todd currently serves as an assistant coach for RESY, as he is also the Head Mens and Womens Swim & Dive Coach for Westminster College.
