Anthony Addlesberger Head Coach

Coach Anthony Addlesberger is now in his 22nd year involved with the Chargers.  He is a former Charger swimmer himself and a Messiah College Graduate, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communicatoins.

Addlesberger is a certified professional USA Swimming coach, and is certified through the American Swimming Coaches' Association as a YMCA Level 4 coach.

In his five year tenure as head coach, the Charger team has produced nine YMCA All-Americans, one USA Swimming Winter Senior National Qualifier, three USA Swimming Winter Junior National Qualifiers, and six USA Swimming Arena Grand Prix Qualifiers.  The team has placed one swimmer onto the USA Swimming National Age Group top 20 list, and eight swimmers onto the YMCA Swimming National Age Group top 10 list.

Addlesberger competed at the Division I level at Duquesne University from 2003-2005.  As a two year letterwinner, he was named to Duquesne's Atlantic 10 conference teams, and also to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and Director of Athletics Honor Roll.

After 2.5 years spent doing missions work in Thailand, England, and St. Croix, Addlesberger transferred to Messiah college in 2008.  As a Falcon, he was a member of the first Messiah swim-team in school history, and was named to the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Academic Honor Roll.  He graduated Cum Laude from his class.

Addlesberger is excited for the upcoming season and expects his swimmers to continue breaking records and performing at a high level.

Hali Cormany Coach

Coach Hali Cormany is now in her seventh year as a coach for the Chambersburg Chargers.  Hali is also a former Charger swimmer.  Hali graduated from Shippensburg University in 2013 with a degree in Business with a Finance concentration.

Hali started swimming when she was 10 years old for Mercersburg Area Swim Club. In her senior year, after competing for MASC for 7 seasons, she decided to join the Chambersburg YMCA Chargers.  In High School swimming, Hali competed for James Buchanan, where she made districts in multiple relays, as well as the 100 Breaststroke, 200 IM, and 200 Freestyle.  Hali had an outstanding career at James Buchanan, finishing as high as 2nd at the AA MidPenn Championships, and 6th at the AA District III Championships in the 100 Breaststroke.

Outside of the pool, Hali loves to hang out with my friends and family. Her favorite season is the summer because she loves working and being outside, as well as being a counselor at St. John Camp.

Over the past six seasons, Coach Hali has done an excellent job of teaching correct technique and also providing an atmosphere conducive to learning and having fun.  Hali's consistent demeanor and teaching style have led to steady time drops for her swimmers at every meet over the course of each of the past three seasons.

Hali is very excited for what this season has in store! Her advice to the kids: Practice hard and swim fast!
