YFD 8 & Under Wreak Havoc at Middies Halloween Meet

The YFD Flippers team made a big splash in their first 8&Under meet of the season.  Leading the way were seven year olds Ginevra Venturi and Gavin Green.

Ginevra captured 1^st in both the 7&Under 25 freestyle and the 25 butterfly, and was second in the 25 backstroke.

Gavin won three blue ribbons, winning the 25 freestyle, 25 breaststroke, and the 100 I.M.  He also posted a Metro Swimming Top Ten time in the 25 breaststroke (3^rd). 

Seven year old teammate Matthew Lipton also had an impressive meet, finishing the 3^rd in the 100 I.M., 2^nd in the 25 butterfly, and 5^th in the 25 freestyle.

The 8&Under girls relay team of Dani Levine, Naomi Schatz, Tess Radford, and Sarah Anne Stephenson started the meet with a bang, teaming up for 2^nd place in the 100 freestyle relay.

Tess was also 5^th in the 7&Under 25 freestyle, 3^rd in the 25 backstroke, and 3^rd in the 25 breaststroke.

For the 8 year olds, Sarah Anne captured a 1st in the 25 breaststroke, a 2^nd in the 100 I.M. and a 6^th in the 25 butterfly.  Naomi was 5^th in the 25 butterfly and 10^th in the 25 backstroke.  Leilia Epstein was 4^th in the 25 breaststroke and 5^th in the 25 freestyle.  Claire de Saint Phaile was 12^th in the 25 breaststroke.  Dani swam to 4^th in the 25 yard freestyle, 7^th in the 25 backstroke, and 13^th in the 25 breaststroke.
