Emily Weiss & Carly Fried Represent at EZ Champs

Two swimmers from the 92nd Street Y Flying Dolphins qualified to represent Metropolitan Swimming (Metro) at the Eastern Zone Short Course Swimming Championships last weekend.

Emily Weiss (10): Qualified to represent metro in the 50 breast & 100 breast. Emily's 100 breast (1:18.75) was a life time best and the fastest time in the metro team. She finished 5th over all and she is currently ranked # 2 in Metro Top 10. She also swam the 50 breast just off her best time and finished 7th over all in that event. Great Job Emily!

Carly Fried (13): Qualified to represent metro in the 100 breast. Carly swam a 1:09.98 in prelims, good enough to put her in the Final; then moved up to an 8th place over all with a time of 1:10.25. Great Job Carly!

Also representing YFD, Junior Coach Emily Wells participated in the meet as a Metro Zone team coach.  Congratulations Emily!
