YFD 8&Unders Shine at the 2013 TVSC Snowball Mini Meet

This past Saturday the Flying Dolphins had a strong showing from seven swimmers made up of the Flippers and Bronze groups that started off 2013 with some real speed. It was a long and very early drive out to the meet but all the swimmers stepped up and put up lifetime best times.

            On the girls side we had 9 best times out of 11 swims. In the 50 free all of the girls had best times with Ryann St. Jean dropping 4.41 seconds and her sister,Ryleigh St. Jean, dropping 3.32 seconds! The 100IM Tess Radford swim a blazing time of 1:43.99 and Morgan McKibben had an excellent swim dropping 5.48 seconds getting her well below the 2min. mark. Tess Radford led the team in the 25 Fly with a 3 second drop and a 4^th place overall! These four girls finished the meet with the 4x100 Free relay and finished 3^rd out of all the teams!

            The boys followed the girls lead and put up 11 best times out of 12 swims. This was Logan Green’s debut meet and got the job done! He placed in the top 6 in his 25 Back, 25 Fly, and 25 Breast; a great start to his swimming career. Dlyan Hu and yet another great meet dropping a total of 9 seconds in all of his swims and had a top 8 finish in the 25 Breast. Gavin Green showed off his swimming skills as he captured 1^st place in all of his swims and dropping time in 3 of them!

            All of these swimmers swam very well and as a group dropped over 39 seconds, a great start to 2013 and to the second half of our season!!!
