YFD EXCELL AT THE IMX CHALLENGE MEET & THE CERAVE LC INVITE
The 92nd street Y Flying Dolphins competed in two meets this past weekend, racking up impressive swims at the IMX Challenge meet in white plains, NY and the CeraVe Invitational at Rutgers University, NJ.
At the CeraVe Invite Sophie Halper, Sophie Siegel, Jessica Weiss, Emily Weiss and Mariana Suarez had a chance to race in their first Long Course Meters meet this season and managed to post lifetime best and season best times. The meet featured some of the best swimmers in the nation including the 2012 London Olympic Gold Medalist Katie Ledecky. Our swimmers also had an opportunity to meet the six-time Olympic medalist and the world record holder Soni Rebecca.
At the IMX Challenge meet the Flying Dolphins dominated the meet and captured an impressive 17 IMX High Point Trophy Awards.
In the Girls 10 Year Olds Pentathlon:
- Esme Blackstock was the top winner with a total of 2185 points
- Sarah Green finished second with 1887 points
- Ella Green finished third with 1814 points
- Caroline Burke finished in fourth with 1324 points
- Charlotte Feagin finished in sixth with 1191 points
In the Girls 11 Year Olds Pentathlon:
- Julia Radomisli finished in second with 240 points
In the Girls 12 Year Olds Pentathlon:
- Dana Schatz finished in second with 1214 points
- Sophie Mackin finished third with 920 points
In the Boys 12 Year Olds Pentathlon:
- Devon French was the top winner with a total of 2270 points
- Evan Lipton finished in second with 1506 points
- Dylan Porges finished third with 1226 points
In the Girls 13-14 Year Olds Sextathlon
- Emily Fennell was the top winner with a total of 2473 points
In the Boys 13-14 Year Olds Sextathlon
- Alec Kahn was the top winner with a total of 2444 points
- Blake Jamilkowski finished in third with a total of 1946
In the Girls 15&Over Sextathlon
- Carly Feinblatt was the top winner with a total of 1923 points
- Abby Damsky finished in second with a total of 1676
- Skye Barclay finished in third with a total of 1635
