2013 Metro Jr. Olympics

This past weekend the Flying Dolphins competed against many of the best swimmers in our region and we showed them what we are made of!

Representing the Flying Dolphins: Esme Blackstock, Caroline Burke, Claire Bushell, Abigail Damsky, Charlotte Feagin, Carly Feinblatt, Emily Fennell, Devon French, Leta Giordano, Ella Green, Gavin Green, Ryan Green, Sarah Green, Sophie Halper, Evan Lipton, Jessica Lipton, David Porges, Dylan Porges, Dana Schatz, Sophie Mackin, Arnelle Allen, Skye Barclay, Mariana Suarez-Rebling, Emily Weiss, Jessica Weiss, Claudia Yanos, Sima Yarsky, Dylan Hu, Logan Green and Nathalie Young.

Esme Blackstock had a total of 5 best times including a 5.9 second drop in her 200 Free and a 5 second drop in her 500 Free. Carly Feinblatt’s 500 Free was swum in a very impressive5:24.02 which was a 3 second improvement from her life time best. Nathalie Young led off the women’s 200 Medley Relay was a 2.8 second drop in her 50 Back. Ella Green had 100% best times and dropped a total of over 8 seconds. Jessica Lipton dropped 9 seconds in her 1000 Free and place in the top 8. Devon French had a great meet with a pair of top 8 finals finishes in his 50 Fly and 100 Fly where he had a lifetime best. Jessica Weiss had showed off her IM skills in both the 400IM and 200IM dropping time and finishing in the top 8 finals. Emily Weiss swam to a lifetime best in her 100 Breast with a blazing time of 1:13.60.

A Big Congratulations goes out to all of the Flying Dolphins who competed and represented our team at the Jr. Olympic! It has been a great season and we look forward to what the future will bring!
