2013 Metro 8&U Championships
The Flying Dolphins 8 & Under’s showed off all of their hard work over the season with 61 best times. The meet was full of high team spirit and hours of fast swimming for all to enjoy!
On the women’s side some of the highlights come from Adele Auchincloss who dropped over 9 seconds in her 50 back and 5.5 seconds in her 50 free. Ali Feinblatt had six solid swims that included a 3.3 seconds drop in her 25 Fly and 3.4 seconds drop in the 25 free. Carly Herman swam best times in all of her swims and lowered her 25 Fly by 2 seconds. Our biggest time drop on the women’s side came from Charlotte Kinlin in her 50 free where she dropped over 12 seconds! Morgan McKibben had yet another great meet with best times in her 25 Free and 25 Breast. Lily Siegel had a very strong showing with 4 top 8 finishes and 7 best times that included 10.5 seconds dropped in her 50 Fly. Lauren Song had 100% best times with a total of over 18 seconds dropped. Ryann St. Jean had 4 best times with the biggest drop coming from her 25 Free in which she dropped over 2 seconds. Her sister Ryleigh St. Jean also had 4 best times that included a 10 second drop in her 50 Back. Quinn Verona had great swims that featured life time bests in her 25 Free, 25 Breast, and 50 Free. Nadia Wineski had her best meet of the season that was topped off with a 4.35 second drop in her 50 Back and a best time in her 50 Free.
On the men’s side Gavin Green got off to a fast start and kept it going throughout the meet had best times in each one of his swims and finished no lower then 2nd place. Logan Green racked up 3 best times and a top 8 finish in his 25 Breast! Matthew Lipton showed off his Fly with a 2.36 second time drop in the 25 Fly and a 2 second drop in his 50 Fly. Charlie Poses had a great meet and swam 100% best times with a 3.61 second drop in his 25 Free. Max Sellami clocked in 4 best times that included a 4.8 second drop in his 50 Free and 3.8 seconds in his 25 Free.
