YFD Throwdown Thrilling Swims at The Eastern Zone Age Group Championships

92Y Flying Dolphins had 4 swimmers represent the Metropolitan All-Star Zone Team last week in Virginia at the Eastern Zone Long Course Age Group Championships.  The Zone team consisted of the top Metro swimmers in the 11-12, 13-14, & 15-18 Age Groups.  Those athletes earned 7^th place out of 13, competing against teams from Virginia , Middle Atlantic, New Jersey, Allegheny Mountain , New England, AD, Connecticut , Niagara, and Maine .
 
 
 

The 4 YFD swimmers were: 15-18 Girls age group Jessica Weiss and Jessica Lipton; 11-12 Girls age group Emily Weiss, and 9-10 Girls age group Charlotte Feigin.
 
All 4 swimmers raced very well. Emily Weiss splashed two best times in the 50 & 100 Breast with a Senior Mets cut in the 100 Breast at age 11. Jessica Lipton had a great meet with a pair of top 10 performances in the 200 Fly and 1500 Free. Charlotte Feigin swam a great 50 Fly with a time of 37.58 and Jessica Weiss who clocked in 2 best times including an impressive 4 seconds drop in the 100 Back (New Senior Mets cut) and another second drop in the 200 Back.

Also representing YFD, Junior Coach Richard Griffith participated in the meet as a Metro Zone team coach.  Congratulations Richard!
