Welcome to the Blair Regional YMCA Competitive Swim Team. Through the years, many of our swimmers have benefitted from the discipline, responsibility, and community service values gained through their families and TigerShark swimming.

Being part of the TigerSharks is about more than just being a part of a competitive swimming team.  It's also about camaraderie, teamwork, learning to set goals, academic as well as athletic excellence, responsibility, volunteerism, respect, honesty, a competitive spirit, and family.  Our dedicated coaching staff does an excellent job of developing our swimmers' bodies, minds, and spirits through training that is rigorous, yet age and ability appropriate, and fun.

To provide the opportunity and means of competitive swimming in a positive, supportive, and challenging atmosphere for our athletes to develop and grow into mature productive adults, while learning to set goals, work hard, and persevere.

With the exception of the YMCA support staff and our coaching staff, TigerSharks are run entirely by dedicated volunteer parents.  The Blair Regional YMCA is a registered 501(c)(3) organization,  managed by its Executive Director and governed by its families through a board of directors.  The TigerSharks are managed by the head coach and it’s elected Parents Board. The TigerSharks compete in the Western PA YMCA Swim League, the Western PA YMCA District and the USA Swimming Allegheny Mountain LSC.
