The AJCC’s year-round swim team emphasizes great coaching, team building, and fun while focusing on stroke drills, endurance swimming, diving, turns, and swimming language. Year-round swim team sessions run seasonally, with separate winter, spring, and summer registration required for each session. Gefilte Fish swimmers (10-years-old and under) practice stroke development while swimmers in the senior Smokin Salmon league work on refining strokes and endurance. Swim league placement is determined by a collaborative assessment involving coaches, parents, and swimmers. Swimmers on both the Gefilte Fish and Smoking Salmon teams must be proficient in freestyle and backstroke and must be able to swim 50 yards.
