Gold Medal Places Second at Age Group State and Women Place First in Highest Finishes in Team History

Gold Medal Swim Club placed second overall at the Age Group State Meet. This is the highest team finish ever for Cactus/ Gold Medal, which previously had placed as high as fifth. The team won the women's competition over second place Scottsdale. The men placed sixth in a close battle with four other teams for the runner-up spot. 

There were many outstanding performances, as almost every Gold Medal swimmer in the meet scored points for the team. There will be a follow-up news article with more detail about the Senior State Champs and the Age Group State Champs.
