April Swimmer of the Month Awards

Michael Chasson

Age Group 2 Ahwatukee

Ella Wilson is our AG2 April Swimmer of the Month! Ella joined Gold Medal last fall and has been learning all things swim! As a new 9-year old she has emerged as the youngest lane leader and often times swims just off pace of our older group. Her attendance, attitude and work ethic during practice have laid a great foundation for success for this LC season. We can’t wait to watch you race this summer! Congratulations Ella.

Age Group 2 Chandler

Adam Botsios - Constantly works hard and goes above and beyond, great attendance and positive attitude and pushes himself at every practice.

Blue

Ryan Munoz-Ryan has shown continued improvement in his training with greater effort and focus. I would expect he will have some good improvements this summer with his continued hard work. Ryan also qualified for the USA Diversity Camp this coming weekend in San Diego. Congratulatios Ryan!

Senior 2

We are excited to announce that Eric Herrera is our S2 swimmer of the month for April! Eric frequently goes above the attendance expectation and makes extra morning workouts each week, and has continued his stellar attendance this month. He always brings a great attitude to practice and is consistently one of the highest practice achievers in the group. Eric also committed to swim at DePauw University, which we are so proud of and excited for him!

Gold

Our Gold group swimmer of the month is Koryne Gantt! Koryne demonstrated true coachability in this last month, taking stroke corrections, racing strategies, and practice feedback seriously to up her training level. She has pushed herself to consistently lead her lane and the group, and we are excited to see her races with these practice commitments.

Senior One

Caroline Grimsley-Caroline has consistently improved over the course of the short course season with multiple large time drops. During the month of April, her training was consistently good, as she tries to qualify for higher level meets. I would expect more large improvements based on her training level compared to the Fall. Congratulations Caroline!
