Age Group 2

Age Group 2 raced exceedingly well at the Narwhal Invite. We achieved 100% improvement at this meet, each swimmer dropped time in at least one or more individual events. We had some new first time event finalists: Joselyn Franzone, Cullen Kelly, Ashton Largent, Rachel Spresney, Teagan Tolson, Angela You and Ander Yu. A majority of our swimmers significantly improved Regional times and are inching close to many new LC State cuts. Congratulations Age Group 2!

Age Group 1

AG1 Swimmers had an outstanding Narwhal meet, with a best time percentage over 70% and many more new LCM Regional and State times. I was also happy to see the swimmers qualifying for finals and coming back at night to swim faster than they did in prelims. I'm looking forward to seeing how well they will swim at Regionals and State!

Blue
 
Blue swimmers did exceptional at Narwhal. Swimmers had a tough week of workouts, but prepared well for the long sessions and heat of the weekend. There were many new State and Regional cuts which were exciting to see so many weeks out of the Age Group championship meets. Congratulations Blue swimmers for swimming so well at this point of the season!

Senior 3

S3 Swimmers continue to make improvements at Narwhal!

 
Alex Gonzales, Jacob Basha, and Madison Ricks swam hard and continued to make improvements and drop time in several of their events!
 
Alex dropped a half second in his 50 free, almost 5 seconds in his 100 fly and 12.5 seconds in the 200 breast!  Great work Alex!
 
Jacob worked hard and dropped almost 2 seconds in his 100 fly, just over a second in his 100 breast, and half second in his 50 free and a whopping 38 seconds in his 400 freestyle!  Way to go!
 
Madison dropped over a second in her 200 IM and over a half second in her 100 freestyle!  Keep it up Madison!
 
A special congratulations to Alex Gonzales who will be moving up to S2 this week!  
 
Great job to all S3 swimmers who continue to train hard and improve!
 
Other S3 Summer Highlights!
 
Chris Laprath qualified for age group state in the 100 butterfly at the Speedo Invite in May.  Chris finished 10th in his first long course meet and dropped over 5 seconds in finals to qualify in the 100 fly!  Keep it up Chris!  Great job!
 
Senior 3 swimmers dominated the water at the Copper Classic with many top finishes!
 
Amelia Lockery had a 3rd place finish in the 100 yard back, 2nd place finishes in the 200 free and 50 fly and a 1st place finish in the 50 back!  Way to race!
 
Chris Laprath had 2 3rd place finishes in the 50 free and 100 breast and 2 2nd place finishes in the 100 IM and 50 fly!  Nice swimming!
 
Alex Gonzales had 2 2nd place finishes in the 100 breast and 50 free and posted 3 1st place finishes in the 50 breast, 100 IM and 50 fly!  Amazing!
 
Jacob Basha topped off the meet with 6 1st place finishes in the 200 breast, 100 IM, 50 breast, 50 fly, 100 free and 100 breast!  Great job Jacob!

Senior 2 had a great Narwhal meet! There were many new State and Sectional cuts and many outstanding swims especially considering the hard week of workouts prior to the meet. Senior 2 should be very proud of what they’ve already accomplished this season and feel confident going into championship season - congratulations!

S1 swam exceptionally well at the Narwhal Invite. Because the meet is so close to SR State, most S1 swimmers only swam 1 day of the meet. Making the most of their single day of racing, S1 gained 6 new Summer Sectional cuts, 3 new Futures cuts, and most swimmers achieved at least 1 best time over the weekend. Congratulations on many great swims S1!
