Senior 2

This was very difficult decision since we had so many great swims in July, however, we decided on both Reese Carpenter and Eric Herrara as Swimmers of the Month for S2! Both of these swimmers have shown great perseverance and great work ethic, as well as great attention to their stroke technique and endurance in practice. Reese and Eric both achieved their first Sectional cuts at Senior State and both earned it in the 200 breast. Congrats to Reese and Eric, so proud of you both!

Blue

We had so many awesome swims this month, it was very challenging to pick…for the Blue group, Alexa Largent is the Swimmer of the Month! Alexa had several outstanding swims at Age Group State including her achievement of Spring Sectional cuts in the mile and the 800 free as well as taking 2nd place for High Point for 11-12 girls. Congrats Alexa on such awesome swims

Senior 1

There were a lot of meets in July and many outstanding swims from the Senior 1 group. There were swims at the Senior State meet, the LA Invite, the Age Group State Meet and Futures. This made selecting the most outstanding swimmers for the month very challenging. Attendance for the group is always near perfect and every swimmer did something that was outstanding.

The female winner is Paige Downey. Paige swam three of the four meets in the month of July. She had six best times at the Senior State meet, two best times at the Age Group state meet, plus an amazing anchor leg in the 13-14 girls 800 free relay to win the relay, and three best times at the Future’s meet, including a Winter Junior National time in the 1500. She placed 7th in both the 800 and 1500 and 14th in the 400 free at Future’s. Paige was our second highest scoring woman at the meet.

The male winner is Cedric Brooking. Cedric swam in three meets in July and performed well at all three of them. At the Senior State meet at the beginning of July, he swam six best times.  At the LA Invite, he swam best times in two events and qualified for Future’s in the 400 free. At the Future’s meet, he swam three best times and placed 14th in the 400 free, and was part of our B, 800 free relay, which placed second. Overall, Cedric was probably one of the most improved swimmers in the group during the long course season.
