October Swimmers of the Month
Gold Medal is proud to announce the October Swimmers of the Month
Age Group 2
Angela You: With a positive attitude and 93% attendance Angela always gives a strong effort and has improved greatly. She achieved best times in all of her events in the last 2 meets!! Keep up the great work Angela!!!
Zephyr Narus: Zephyr only missed a single practice in the last month, and she comes ready work harder at every practice. Besides being a hard worker, Zephyr has a great positive attitude, and she has been an amazing teammate. Congrats Zephyr!
Age Group 1
William You: William achieved 4 new State times last month and has been continuing to drop time in his strongest events as well. William has also been doing a great job at leading lanes and the group during practices, and his practice attendance has been very strong throughout the month. Keep up the great work!
Blue
Congrats to Marley Spray on being selected as Blue group’s Swimmer of the Month for October! Marley had a great month of training and meet performances; her hard work in practices as well as her commitment and dedication has shown in many of her races this month including best times in the 400 im (4:49.45) and 200 fly (2:20.86) and an outstanding first swim in the 1000 free (11:04.86). Congrats Marley, keep up your hard work!
Senior 2
Daytona Duggan – congratulations! Over the past few months, Daytona has demonstrated an impressive work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to getting better at every practice. She’s made some exciting stroke changes recently, especially to her butterfly, and is already seeing those changes pay off. Thank you, Daytona, for being a great team member and for all your hard work. We’re excited to see some more fast swims this season.
Senior 1
Colin Campbell: Colin swam close to best times in the 200 IM and 500 free and 400 IM. All of these were untapered. In the 1650 he improved 20 seconds to achieve a Junior National bonus time. He has been working hard in practice in his preparation for the Junior Nationals in December.
Jaida Lippy: Jaida swam best times in the 200 free and 500 free in October. She also swam best times on relays in the 50 and 100 free. This was her best split 500 ever. Jaida has continued to work hard and her 500 swim was a major breakthrough in her swimming in terms of pacing and technique.
