June Swimmers of the Month
Blue
The Blue Swimmer of the Month is Brooke Horton. Brooke set high goals for herself this season and worked diligently on her backstroke tempo and freestyle turns. Her focus on technique paid off and she dropped in her 100 and 200 BK and qualified for State in her 800 and 1500. At State, she placed top 8 in her 800 free. Congratulations Brooke!
Senior 2
The Senior 2 Swimmer of the Month is Alex Bushko. Alex is highly motivated and stays late after practice almost every day to do something fast off the blocks to test his progress and practice going out fast but relaxed in his races. This has inspired other swimmers to get up with him and has made our whole group better. His hard work paid off and at the Summer Invite he dropped in his 100 BR for the first time in over a year and qualified for State. At Regionals, he got best times in every event including a 5 second drop in both his 200 IM and 100 fly. Congratulations Alex!
AG1
The AG1 Swimmer of the Month is Dante Apps. Dante had an incredible Summer Invite achieving 100% best times and State cuts in the 200 FR and 50 BR. Throughout the entire meet, Dante walked along the side of the pool cheering for his teammates. His hard work in the water and support of his teammates on deck makes our entire group better. Congratulations Dante!
