Senior Two July & August Meet Summary
Congratulations Senior 2 on an excellent championship season! Senior 2 swimmers achieved over 70 best times combined over Regionals, State, Sectionals, and Western Zones. Below are some of the outstanding achievements:
Hannah Aguila - 7.9 sec drop in the 200 BK
Evan Beck - 100% best times at Regionals including the 200 FL (2nd), 100 BK (3rd), and 1st in the 800 FR with a 35 sec drop
Alex Bushko - 100% best times at Regionals; 5 sec drop in the 100 FL and 200 IM (3rd)
Evan Beck - 100% BT at Regionals; 35 sec drop in the 800m FR
Dana El-Reyes - Top 8 at State in the 1500 FR
Koryne Gantt - Top 8 at State in the 400, 800, and 1500
Ben George - 100% BT at Regionals and 1st in both events; new State cuts in the 100 BR and 200 IM; top 8 at State in the 200 FL and 400 IM
Alex Gonzales - 2.4 sec drop in the 100 BR at State
Piper Jones-Campbell - 13 sec drop in the 200 BK (2nd) at Regionals, 2nd in the 200 IM, and 3rd in the 200 FR
Ryan Munoz - Spring Sectional in the 200 FL
Lawrence Wen - 100% best times at State; Spring Sectional in the 50 FR and 200 BK
Langston Lindsey - Futures in the 100 FL
Katie Skarbek - Top 8 in all State events including the 200, 400, 800 (2nd), and 1500 FR (3rd)
Kyler Tolson - Top 8 in all State events including 200 BK (3rd) and 800 FR (2nd); Spring Sectionals in the 200 BK
Marley Spray - State Champion in all events and High Point Winner; AZ State Record in the 400 IM
At the Phoenix Short Course Finale, S2 swimmers achieved 17 new best times. Evan Beck and Dylan Lebedies both had 100% best times and Piper Jones-Campbell picked up a new state cut in the 100 back. Aidan Feirstein dropped 3.5 sec in the 200 BK and Natalie Huddart dropped almost 2 sec in her 100 BR. Congratulations S2 on an awesome season!
