Age Group One Meet Wrap-ups and Swimmers of the Month

Michael Chasson

November Swimmer of the Month

Ashton Largent was one of the few swimmers with a perfect attendance in November and on top of that he was raising his standard every day. Coming in with a smile and sheer grit each practice, we have seen the hard work begin to pay off. Keep up the hard work Ashton!"

December Swimmer of the Month

Delaney Holm is our December swimmer of the month. Over the past few weeks, Delaney has been a phenomenal example for many of our younger swimmers. She shows up to practice with purpose and excitement, which brings energy to the deck. This past meet, Delaney went best times in 7 of her 9 prelim events and then went on to drop more time at finals. There is no limit with this mindset and motivation, keep it up, Delaney!

November Summary

AG1 had incredible performances at our fall meets. These were great opportunities to get back into short course racing and get better at preparing for events when the weather is cold. Congratulations everyone!

At the Keever Invite, AG1 swimmers achieved 52 best times.

Candy Cane was our first prelims/finals meet of the season and swimmers achieved over 110 best times - awesome job everyone! A special shoutout to Rachel Spresney, Lillian Fernandes, Delaney Holm, and Logan Keck for having 100% best times at one of those meets.

December Meet Wrap-up

Congrats on a successful Candy Cane Classic! One component that stuck out to me was our ability to take in information and turn that into fast swimming. As I have been preaching, small details provide a heightened level of focus, anything from technical to fundamental, helping to keep everything manageable. Moving on to the swimming data and results, we need to be more aggressive in our racing. The aerobic base we have created allows us to be more aggressive, so now the challenge is being okay and getting wildly uncomfortable. I will find ways to hit on these points throughout practices, but I need you all to show up every day with purpose!
