March Swimmer of the Month

The March Swimmer of the Month is Erica Perez! Erica had a State meet where she didn’t see the results she hoped for, but instead of letting that get her down she brought focus to practice and ended up making technical changes to her stroke to prepare for her next meet. At SWAGR she went best times in her 100 free, 200 back, and played a role in several relays. In her 200 back, she squeezed into finals with a 10th place finish during prelims. With prior travel plans to leave that afternoon, she and her family decided to cancel flights so Erica could swim at finals. Erica dropped nearly 3 seconds from her prelim swim, achieved a new best time, and ended up placing 5th. Congrats and well done Erica!

March Meet Wrap Up

Congrats to the Blue group for a great championship season at Age Group State and SWAGR!

We had a tough start to both meets as we had to battle weather. I was impressed with how we remained mentally strong at AG State and continued to improve as the meet went on. At State, Blue had 23 swimmers posting a total of 55 best times.

SWAGR was a fun and fast meet where we had the opportunity to travel and race different teams. We had many finals swims and swimmers who placed in the top 10. We posted 27 best times and had many swimmers with second swims.
