Senior State Meet

The Senior State meet produced many best times. The results were excellent considering we only had one easy day before the meet.  Even some of the swimmers who didn’t get best times were very close to their bests.

The top swims of the meet were by breaststrokers. Sasha Volkova crushed the 200 breast Junior National time with a three second improvement. A new swimmer to the group, Adelyn Burns, dropped her 100 breast Junior National time over a second. Both women won their event.

Paige Downey swam the most events in the meet and swam more workouts into the meet. She had two best times and was second in the high point rankings.

Cohen Gunsalus swam five best times. He improved 100 back, 100 free, 100 fly, 200 IM, and 200 free.

Alexa Largent swam five best times. She improved 100 fly, 100 free, 200 fly, 400 free, and 400 IM. Her IM time just missed Junior Nationals by a second.

Reagan Uhlik swam five best times. She improved 100 back, 100 fly, 200 breast, 400 IM, and 100 free. Reagan became the third women on our team to break five minutes in the 400 IM.

Mia Rodic swam four best times. She improved 100 free, 200 free, 400 free, and 800 free. She was able to improve her entry times for Sectionals from short course to long course.
