Blue Group January Meet Wrap-up
Blue
Many of us competed in back-to-back weekends. Great job handling the cold, long days, early mornings, and dry skin. Many of us continued to see improvement in the second weekend of racing this calendar year. That is the great focus you have maintained at practices!
Lots ended up getting sick before this meet, which is a bummer, but many still found a way to bring great focus, intent, and aggressiveness into swims.

- Lillian Tan 400 IM & 500 Free - well executed swims, great focus

Dual Meeet Champs
Great competing at Dual meet champs! One of the best things I noticed was how accountability in practice led to more productive races, warm-up/downs, and conversations before and after races. Swimmers who were willing to race next to swimmers with faster times at practice were able to compete with swimmers on other teams with greater confidence. The swimmers who are exploring adjectives to describe what they are noticing in their stroke, swims, or efforts have a better time recalling what they executed, missed, attempted, or succeeded at in the swim.
Long story short, practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes permanent.
