2024 Aqualaps Week 1

What a great turn out for the Kickoff Party! Thank you everyone who showed up, swam, and picked up their Aqualaps packet. If you didn’t get to pick up the Aqualaps packet, please let me know and we can figure out how to get you one.

Ready to help fundraise but not sure where to start?

1. Set up your child’s Event Fundraising page located on the GSC website. Go to My Account à Event Fundraising à Set-up (located in the center in red). This is where you can upload a picture or add any fun information about why your child loves the GSC team. Once it is ready click Promote and post it to your social media page, email, or text the link to friends and family! PLEASE NOTE – The money raised on the website does not put your kids into the weekly prize drawing, but it does go towards their overall amount raise.

2. Sign up for the Aqualaps Fundraising table at Super Bear or Safeway. Sign ups are open and located on the Event page on the website. When you sit at the table, please remind your child they are representing the GSC team. It is important to be kind, smile, and say thank you! If you bring something to offer those who donate, such as baked goods or candy, it may help encourage people to donate too!

3. Go door to door. Go say hello to your neighbors and have the kids explain all the reasons they love to swim and are working hard to help raise money for their team.

4. Corporate Sponsors. If you have a business in mind you would like to ask a donation from, please be sure to reach out to Savonna Kiessling first [email protected].

5. QR Codes? Morgan Brown Holden posted to the Facebook GSC Page on how she linked the Aqualaps Fundraising page to a QR code and then provides instructions on how to locate her child’s page. What a great idea! I might have to try that this year. 

Starting next week over Spring Break, we will begin collecting any cash or check donations your child has received. The money they turn each week will place their names into the prize pool for the following week’s drawing. Please watch for the times each week as they may change from week to week.

  • Monday/March 18^th - 3:30 – 4:30 (Susil Mateo) or 5:30 – 6:30 (Rhys Mateao)

• AGB:            
  • Tuesday/March 19^th – 2:45 – 4:15 (Colleen) or 4:15 – 5:45 (Paulette)
  • Thursday/March 21^st - 2:45p-4:15 (Jeanette)

A big shout out and congratulations to all the WRS Speedy Sectional swimmers who qualified for this meet and are swimming this weekend! We are all rooting for you!
