2025 Aqualaps Update
Hello GSC Families,
Congratulations to all the swimmers who attended the Age Group State Champs meet in Fairbanks last weekend! So many fast GSC swimmers with lots of bests times and exciting relays.
Volunteer Hours - Thank you to those of you who have signed up for volunteer positions for the upcoming Aqualaps Kickoff Time Trial and Pool Party. There are still a few positions available. If you ever thought about becoming a Stroke and Turn Official (those people in the white shirts) there are several training walks open for those who have taken the stroke and turn class. Also, please sign your swimmer up for their 2 events for this time trial.
Family Relay – The family relay is on again with your chance to bring home the Golden Goggle Trophy! Parents, dust off those caps and goggles because you are needed in the relay. Join us for the 200 Freestyle family relay after the time trial at the Aqualaps Kickoff party. Each team must have a minimum of 2 children per team. There will be a brief warm up period for parents before the relays begin.
Aqualaps Fundraising: Our goal is to raise $85,000
Corporate Sponsorship Phase 2 (2/16/25 – 3/8/25) this your chance to contact Tracy to see if the business you have previously reserved in past years is free to approach. If you have a business in mind that you would like to approach, make sure to contact Tracy at [email protected] so she can check to see if that business is available. If it is, she will assign that specific business to your family and forward you a letter which outlines sponsorship opportunities and where to send the donation. - March 8th - Aqualaps Kickoff Party/Mini Meet at DPAC from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- March 31st – Seward’s Day. No GSC practices
- April 4th – 6th – Savannah Cayse SE Champs at DPAC
- May 3rd - Aqualaps Swimathon Day at AGB from 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
