Corporate Sponsor Drive kicks off on Monday!

Hello GSC Families!

First of all - best of luck to all of our swimmers competing in the Alaska Senior Champs this weekend! I know many of you have this meet on your minds, so if you don't have bandwidth to think about fundraising right now, just set yourselves a reminder to re-read this email next week.

The 1st phase of our Corporate Sponsor Drive is kicking off Monday, January 26th. If you know what this means - great!

If you don’t know what this means, read on.

The Corporate Sponsor Drive is one (very important!) arm of our annual Aqualaps fundraiser. It begins earlier than the rest of the fundraiser because it is structured to a) avoid the problem of multiple families approaching the same business, b) respect relationships many of our families have with Juneau businesses, and c) give the Aqualaps team more time to keep track of corporate donations. 

“What is phase 1?” If you have a family or employment relationship with a business, and you plan to approach said business to ask if they would like to be a sponsor of the Glacier Swim Club, this is your time! But FIRST, please contact the Corporate Sponsor Chair - Julie Bednarski at [email protected]. 1) Tell her which business you have a relationship with and 2) Ask for the updated corporate sponsor letter for this season. 

Once Julie has confirmed your business is available and sends you the letter, you’re golden! 

NEW THIS YEAR: Corporate dollars earned will go toward top earner prize categories! The three categories will be 1) top overall earner, 2) top corporate earner, 3) top non-corporate earner. At the conclusion of the Aqualaps fundraiser in May, these top earners will each be awarded $200 towards a tech suit or similar prize of your choice!

Also new this year: Me! And Julie! Both Julie Bednarski and I are new to the Aqualaps corporate and admin positions. We appreciate your patience and grace as we do our best to navigate this fundraising beast.
