The Corner Brook Rapids is an exciting competitive swim team formed in late 2003. The Rapids was created by the amalgamation of the Western Whales and the West Side Heat Swim Clubs. Corner Brook has a rich swimming history that started in the late 1960's with the Corner Brook Swim Club. There has been a competitive swim club in Corner Brook for over 50 consecutive years! The various clubs have produced many fine athletes and consistently have had athletes from, or who have graduated from, one of the local clubs who have qualified for Nationals or Age Group Nationals.
