CMAC's history began in 2010 when the current Costa Mesa High School pool was rebuilt. The team began to gain some traction in 2011 under the direction of Costa Mesa's Jose De La Jara, finally getting on its feet and building to 50 swimmers and as many water polo players. The team was fortunate to next be healmed by esteemed coach Ken Dory in 2015-2017 where he was able to continue building the team, working alongside Jose to enhance all of CMAC's programming from JG prep, to swim lessons, water polo, summer league, and more. Coach Ken was integral in the establishment of team culture that would become the building blocks for where the team is today.

CMAC is now a thriving club of 700+ year round swimmers, water polo players, Junior Guard prep athletes, summer league swimmers, and masters athletes.

CMAC works from a team-oriented perspective and highlights the day-to-day training and daily work toward excellence that the athletes and coaches strive for. Awards, records, accolades... these all come from the daily process, and this is what CMAC works to highlight with a sense of humility, pride in our program, and respect for its members and the greater swimming community.

At CMAC you will find a family-first atmosphere, one that is person-centered, safe, fun, supportive, and encourages a lifelong love of all things aquatic.

We look forward to what's ahead for the program - this is just the beginning.
