Coach Sergio comes to CMAC with more than 30 years of coaching expertise and a decade as Coordinator/Head Coach of Swimming in the International British School for boarding students. The last 13 years he has specialized in the area of coordination and management and was one of those responsible for the implementation of innovative multidisciplinary projects, including a successful methodology that led the 1st School in Brazil to obtain National and International Swimmers champions through the formative swimming. Skill in planning, organization, follow up projects, team leadership, lectures and clinics.
He has coached at every level and was himself a state ranked athlete, having mentored and developed National and International athletes, Brazilian Championships Games medalists, Pan American Games medalist. His son, Kayky, recently graduated from the University of Tennessee as an all-american and NCAA finalist, and recently competed in Fukoka, Japan in the World Championships for Brazil, making the semi-final in the 100 meter butterfly, finishing 10th. His youngest son, Kaua, swims at CMAC and recently qualified for Junior Nationals.
His athletes training under his supervision have gone on to compete at the highest levels of swimming through Division I, II, & III universities. CMAC is thrilled to have Sergio's addition to the staff at CMAC, and he has already made a massive impact at the senior level in just a short time. The best is yet to come!
