It truly does take a village! Our Mecca Team brings together some of the most experienced and talented theatre arts teachers and performers in our region to share their passion for arts education.
Lisa Vasconcelos
Inspired by her experiences in high school with the Strathclair Drama Club, Lisa's love of the arts helped build the Neelin Fine Arts Department and then created Mecca Productions in 2001 Now the sole focus of her creative energy, the Mecca Family thrives under her guidance and leadership. An experienced singer, performer and director, Lisa has shared her time and talent with hundreds of folks of all ages, on stage and off.
Tiana Vasconcelos
Tiana has been a "Mecca Kid" since the beginning. A trained dancer and a certified ADAPT dance teacher, Tiana shares her talents each week with our PT and APT students. An experienced singer and choralist, Tiana brings strong vocal technique and instructions to her students. The choreographer of our APT program and kids' musicals, Tiana loves helping kids shine!
Hannah Price
Hannah loves sharing her passion for music, musical theatre and performance with our youngest members. She also plays a vital role on the proudction team of our All Kids' Musicals and our Community Musicals. No stranger to the stage, Hannah brings an energy and enthusiasm for musicals that is unparalled.
Clint McLachlan
The choral director and drama teacher at Crocus Plains Regional Secondary School, Founder and Conductor of Novos Women's Choir and a soloist and performer in high demand, we are very grateful to have Mr Clint on our team. Students from across Manitoba travel to our studio every Wednesday to learn from him in The LADS and Mecca Youth Choir.
Avalon Sawatzky
Avalon has been part of the Mecca family since she was a child; she now shares her love for musical theatre and acting in our after-school classes.
