It is a requirement of Swim Ontario that each swim team have a certain number of “officials”, this includes timers.  It is simple to become a timer – attend one of our Timers Clinics and time on deck at one of our swim meets and/or other teams swim meets.  Every swim meet has over 90 timing positions to fill, so we need you.  There are only 2 buttons on a stop watch and we will show you how to use them.  You can do this- the electronic timing system is the main timing system and our human timers are the back-up, so no need to feel intimidated.
