Fast Track into Fall 2024

Our hardworking Inconnu swimmers have returned home from their first swim meet of the 2024-2025 season. The Fast Track into Fall swim meet, hosted by the Grande Prairie Piranhas, hosted 5 other teams from AB and BC at the Eastlink Centre. Thirty six of our members made the snowy drive and placed 2nd overall.

Coach Anton was pleased with the outstanding performances from our athletes, “I urge everyone to carry this positive momentum forward with enthusiasm and understanding that quite simply put, when you do things right day in and day out inside and outside the pool - the results generally take care of themselves.”

Coach Emily reported her Level 1 and 2 swimmers raced in both 200 meter breaststroke and 200 meter backstroke events for the first time. Many of our swimmers gathered best times and raced events they have never competed in before. 

A big shout out to Toby Koop who, at 10 years old, bravely elected to swim his first 100m butterfly. Koop’s swims earned him the title of top male 10 & under at the swim meet.

Our senior group members Ainsley Ross (15), Kieran Rogers (15), Ryder Modde (15), and Leonardo Rossi (12) displayed both physical and mental resilience during crucial stages of the swim meet.

Next up is our home meet in just under two weeks time! The Sadownik Memorial is Nov 30 to December 1st so make sure you are eating healthy and getting enough sleep!
