2 GHAC Swimmers Receive Prestigious Swim Canada Award!
Senior Performance swimmers Owen Stoneburgh and Emma Van Dyk were 2 of 5 recipients of Swimming Canada's Victor Davis Memorial Fund.
Each year awards are made from The Victor Davis Memorial Fund to assist young Canadian swimmers to continue their training, education, and pursuit of excellence at the international level of competition.
The Victor Davis Memorial Fund was established to remember Victor, his contribution to competitive swimming in Canada, and to encourage other young Canadians toward excellence.
Since its inception, the Victor Davis Memorial Fund has awarded over 100 athletes with bursaries to aid in their training costs. A great percentage of these athletes have gone on to become members of Canada’s National team, with many of them going on to represent Canada at the Olympics and other International events.
We are so proud of both of these two amazing athletes!
