GHAC had an exceptional weekend, with our athletes making impressive strides both at the Ontario Junior International (OJI) and at our home novice meet. At the Ontario Junior International, four of our swimmers competed at this prestigious event, earning personal bests and several podium finishes, proving their hard work is paying off. These young swimmers are setting a high bar for the future of the team! The Border City Swim Meet in Windsor is a favorite for GHAC swimmers, parents, and coaches, as we always swim FAST and have lots of FUN. This year’s event did not disappoint. We had an impressive turnout with 62 swimmers, including 26 12&Under swimmers, a significant increase from 16 last year. Our swimmers achieved approximately 68% best times, and 42 swims qualified for the next level of championship meets. Western Long Course Regional Swimming Championships Recap The Golden Horseshoe Aquatic Club had a stellar performance at the Western Long Course Regional Swimming Championships held in Windsor from May 31 to June 2. We are pleased to be offering a "Para See Yourself Swimming Day" at McMaster University on Wednesday, May 29th from 5:30-7:00 PM. This event is FREE! It will be lead by GHAC Coaches and Swimming Canada Staff. All athletes under the age of 15 with a Visual, Intellectual, Physical Impairment that are "water-safe" are welcome to attend.
