GHAC April 1-2 Colour Meet

On April 1-2 GHAC hosted our second Color Meet.  We divided our swimmers into 4 teams – Blue, Pink, Purple and Blue.  It was great to see the team bonding between the different age groups.  Hopefully new friendships have formed, and team spirit has grown.  But most importantly, we hope that our younger swimmers had fun, and are excited to race again.

And the results are in:

The points were awarded as follows:

               Best Time = 5 points

               Within 3% of best time = 3 points

               New Event = 3 points

               Not within 3% of best time = 1 point

               DQ = 0 points

Noteworthy call outs:

• Mathew Marinic had a 50% improvement on his best 50 Free dropping 42 seconds
• Adam Bourenane had a 43% and 40% improvement in his 50 and 100Free events dropping 36 seconds and 1 minute 11 seconds.
• Eugene He dropped 28.69 seconds in his 100 free for a 25% improvement
• 100% best times for Enye Elbard-Berkovski, Violeta Ried Diaz, Sophia Schmidt and Ruby Valiquette

All of our competitive swimmers are working hard to qualify for different levels of meets, so it is with pleasure that we share with you some qualification times that were met at this meet.  For some swimmers, this may be for their weaker events or they have aged up to a higher qualifying time…but for some it is their first time qualifying.
