Congratulations to Commonwealth Honour Award Recipient Mackenzie Salmon

Middlesex Swimming would like to congratulate Mackenzie Salmon on his wonderful achievement and receiving the Commonwealth Honour Award for his service within the Lifesaving Society over the past 6 years as a volunteer. Way to go Mackenzie!!!

Mackenzie has represented Canada on the National Team five times: the 2013 Commonwealth Lifesaving Championships; the 2014 and 2016 ILS Lifesaving World Championships; the 2015 Sanyo Bussan Cup; and both the 2015 Orange Cup and German Cup competitions.

Mackenzie was elected Athlete Representative in Ontario for consecutive terms from 2016 through 2020. Since 2020, he has served as Chair without portfolio on the Society’s Lifesaving Sport Council. As a high-performance athlete and coach, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the table.

Mackenzie’s excellent communication with clubs makes him a valuable resource. He is known for both timely delivery of information to teams and the gathering of feedback following championships: both help in building and growing the sport. He is passionate about representing the athletes’ views and delivers them diplomatically at Sport Council meetings.

For his continuing contributions to lifesaving sport, the Lifesaving Society is pleased to present Mackenzie with its Service Commendation.  =O =O =O
