Aqua 7 + ROC Masters Swim Meet Reviews
Middlesex Swimming would like to congratulate all of our age group and masters swimmers that raced this last weekend either in Bowmanville or Guelph at their respective competitions!!!
Masters ROC Swim Meet Review

On Saturday, February 1st two of our masters swimmers (Carissa Kanters & David Spence) were taking advantage of another wonderful Masters swim meet that was hosted by the Clarington Swim Club in Bowmanville. This was the 1st masters swim meet of the New Year and additionally, this was Carissa's 1st masters swim meet experience. After all of the racing was completed at the masters swim meet Carissa and David ended up placing in 1st place in all of their respective races at the swim meet that they competed within, had a great time, and did exceptionally well - Way to go Carissa and David on your performances this past weekend!!!
Aqua 7 Swim Meet Review

To end the weekend off the club had 15 swimmers racing at our 1st Aqua 7 Swim Meet of the season in Guelph on Sunday, February 2nd.
At the swim meet 100% of our swimmers achieved at least one best time... and 12 of the 15 swimmers had best times in every single race that they swam! Lots of the swimmers were placing well in their respective swims too, which was wonderful to see. The club had no disqualifications across everyone's races! However, the best moments of the swim meet in the eyes of Coach Mackenzie were those that included our swimmers cheering on each other (i.e. Chanting "Go Middlesex Go!" led by our big cheer squad of Advi, Alizée, Eli, Finn, Michael, Nevaeh, Olivia, Sadie, Sunny, Wynn, and Zoe - Way to go athletes, as your team spirit and pride really were so very special to see!!!), pushing themselves outside of their comfort zones, having personal breakthroughs, and helping each other out throughout the entire swim meet :)
The club also would like to send out a VERY BIG THANK YOU to Daphne Cox, Jorn Diedrichsen, Kimberly Francis, and Rishi Lalgudi Ganesan for volunteering as officials on deck at the Aqua 7 Swim Meet to ensure our swimmers as well as all other competitors could compete this past Sunday as well as to Royal City Aquatics for hosting this wonderful event!!! For those others who had expressed the ability to volunteer we also do sincerely appreciate your offers and hopefully will be able to have you volunteer as officials at future Aqua 7 swim meets.
Once again, the club would like to ensure that we provide our many thanks to the Clarington Swim + Masters Club (ROC), Royal City Aquatics (RQAC), and all of the volunteer officials for helping to run both of these excellent competitions for our swimmers this past weekend!
And finally, the club would like to thank our dedicated coaching staff who again really stretched themselves out this past weekend again putting forth a remarkable effort and loads of time out of their weekends to ensure everyone was very well looked after whether at the swim meets or back at practice.
