Swim Ontario 2025 Open Water Championships Review

Middlesex Swimming would like to congratulate Jennifer Komorowski and Mackenzie Salmon on their wonderful 5km racing performances this past Saturday July 26th in Gravenhurst at Gull Lake!!!

            

This open water event attracted over 700 swimmers from all across Ontario to compete in some open water races ranging in distances 1km, 3km, 5km, and the 4x500m relay.


 In the Masters Women's 5km race Jennifer ended up coming away with a 4th place finish in the 40 and over category!!! In the Masters Men's 5km Coach Mackenzie came away with a 2nd place finish in the men's 39 and under category.

Congratulations Jennifer and Mackenzie on your performances!!! 

A special thank you goes out to our professional photographer Sebatian Roche (Jennifer's son) who was kind enough to get some great photos for the club at the event :)

Another big thank you goes out to Swim Ontario, the Muskoka Aquatic Club, the Town of Gravenhurst Local Organizing Committee, and all of the volunteers from near and far who made this event possible!

2025 Ontario Masters Open Water Swimming Championships Results

Our club now looks forward to the final swim meet of the 2025-2026 season 2025 Speedo Canadian SC Championships where Kyle Stuckless will be competing against the best swimmers from all across Canada as well as some international swimmers starting Thursday, August 7th running through to Sunday, August 10th in Sherbrooke Quebec at the Centre sportif de l’Université de Sherbrooke. Good luck Kyle in all of your races, we know that you will do great!

Hopefully everyone is continuing to enjoy their summer's and staying active in some fashion both in and out of the water!!!
