2025 Canadian Short Course Championships Review

Middlesex Admin

Middlesex Swimming would like to congratulate Kyle Stuckless on his wonderful racing performances this last weekend at the 2025 Canadian Short Course Championships in Sherbrooke Quebec from Thursday, August 7th to Sunday, August 10th!!!

This competition attracted 103 clubs and 305 of the very best swimmers from all across Canada as well as some top end swimmers from the U.S. and different parts of the world.

Kyle ended up racing very strongly in the prelim/morning sessions making his way into 2 different finals where he improved upon his times from the morning - Out of the 2 finals that Kyle qualified for his highest placement was 11th. Additionally, Kyle was able to get a big personal best time in his 100m breaststroke where he took off almost 3secs in his prelim swim! Also, Kyle was yet again up to his record breaking ways this past weekend in the pool - Kyle ended up setting 9 new club records within the club's open and 18-24 year old categories!!!

Congratulations again Kyle on your performances and we look forward to seeing many more big things to come from you as you continue into your 2nd year of varsity swimming at the University of Western!!!

The club would like to ensure that we provide our many thanks to Swimming Canada, all of the volunteer officials from all over Canada, and everyone else involved for helping to run the competition.

Additionally, the club would like to thank Swim Ontario's Academy Coach Don Burton for taking care of Kyle at the swim meet in Sherbrooke, as his assistance, time, and guidance was truly appreciated by both Kyle and the club!
